As a former player and student athlete with leadership abilities and playing experience at various levels ranging from AAU, High School and College basketball, I have spent the better half of my life dedicated to the game of basketball that I love and that has given me so much and so many life experiences and friendships. The game of basketball has provided me the chance to play talent from all over the world. As a kid growing up in Indianapolis, the Hoosier state and the home of basketball is were my foundation was laid and my skills developed and what has helped shape me into the man I am today. I recall the countless hours on the playground, in open gyms, practices, Church leagues, Boys Clubs, any league or court I could find to work on my game because I was that committed to improving. To this day, I have that same commitment to passing what I have learned on to today's youth to help ensure they have the tools necessary to develop the skills to become a better basketball player, person and experience all the game has to offer.

I have had the great pleasure of playing for some great coaches over my career from Coach Gary Betts andTom Barr to Dave Schellhase. Coach Gary Betts of Indianapolis "No Excuses" was my AAU coach and team who I traveled the country with displaying my talents and playing in some of the country's top AAU events from the Las Veags Nike Invitationals, Kentucky Prep Classic and Phoneinx BCI Tournament and more. On this journey I earned a few awards such as Kentucky Prep Player of the Game, Game MVP in Las Vegas and made the Indianapolis IAAAI/All - Nike Team. Coach Betts was instrumental in assisting in my college transaction through our efforts and performance on the AAU platform and I was able to obtain a scholarship to attend Southwest Missouri State - West Plains and Moorhead State University on a basketball scholarship. Today coach Betts Indy Spiece No Excuses team is one of the country's premier NIKE AAU programs and produces countless Major Divsion 1 Players each year. Coach Betts still to this day remains active in my life and serves as my mentor as Team GetShook grows through it's early years!

Prior to founding Team GetShook's organization, I founded GetShook.net and GetShook Signature Sports which specializes in selling licensed sports apparel and athletic shoe brands from all the major leagues and teams; NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB and NCAA and shoe brands such as: NIke, Adidas, Reebok and K-Swiss through it's mall based retail format and Internet web presence. GetShook aims to combine it's marketing efforts to build a powerful respected Brand through Youth Amateur Sports and Marketing. In the spring of 2009 Team GetShook's boys basketball program entered it's first season playing in local and National tournaments through AAU, MYAS and USSSA. We are proud of the progress that was made in our first year of developing our players and program. The 2010 outlook for Team GetShook looks bright as we continue to work hard to position our organization and develop great talent.
