NY2LA Generation Next Basketball Association 5th Grade Runner up!

Team GetShook 5th Grade NY2LA Generation Next Basketball Association recap.

Tough as nails is the only description that comes to mind when I think of Team GetShook 5th Grade Elite.  This group of young men have been battle tested and have been earning respect, every tournament and every game.  Playing teams from across the country.  This group consist of some of the top players in the class of 2024.   Top Point Guard in Tameron Ferguson and Jency Davis.  Top Wing in Randy McClendon and many more names that you will be hearing about in the coming months and years.

These young men play tenacious defense, team basketball and play hard all the time.  We nick name them the Spurs because they are a very unselfish group and is why they have been having success.  Please follow our progress as we prepare for the summer run.

TAMERON FERGUSON – 2024 – G – TEAM GET SHOOK
Ferguson was excellent for Team Shook, really getting after it with defensively pressure on the ball and in the passing lanes, and then making plays offensively. He had 12 points and sank 2 three’s.

Jency Davis — 2024 — PG — TeamGetShook
Left hander who showed the ability to knock down the 3, handle the ball and get into the paint. Showed the ability to use his off hand to finish in the paint as well. Finished with 11 points, six in the first half and five more in the second, connecting on a 3 in each half of Saturday morning’s game against the Wisconsin Blizzard.

Tameron Ferguson — 2024 — PG — Team GetShook
Ferguson put on a show in an early-morning contest against the Wisconsin Blizzard. He is a ball hawk defensively and really gets after it by pressuring the ball and ripping it away from opponents. He also made a 3-pointer and flashed the ability to go end-to-end, beating opponents down the court for easy lay-ins. Ferguson finished with 19 points in Saturday morning’s game against the Wisconsin Blizzard.

Randy McClendon — 2024 — F — Team GetShook
Did a great job of running the floor and finishing easy chances in transition and around the basket for easy buckets in the lane. Had eight in the first half and finished with 10 in an early-morning win over the Wisconsin Blizzard.

Azire Yeager — 2024 — C — Team GetShook
Big kid who uses his size to his advantage in the paint. Has a good free throw stroke. Connected on a 3 to end the game Saturday morning at 61-41 and finished with seven points total.

TAMERON FERGUSON – 2024 – PG – TEAM GETSHOOK
Ferguson was outstanding throughout the weekend making plays on both ends of the floor with his quickness and relentlessness. He played with speed and tenacity defensively, pressing opponents and getting several steals. Offensively, Ferguson buried some nice shots, but was really tough when he used his dribble to get straight to the hoop past his defender and did a nice job finishing lay-ups or even a short floater.

Randy McClendon — 2024 — F — Team Get Shook
McClendon is a terrific scorer who puts up buckets in the lane as he outworks his opponents. His play helped Team Get Shook advance all the way to Sunday’s championship game and he led his squad with 22 points as they hung tough with the Wisconsin Blizzard.
